Join The Team – Sales Manager + Sales Executive Positions

Are you passionate about the Sheep & Beef sector and looking for a sales role where you can really sink your teeth in, make a difference and be instrumental in the growth of a dynamic business?

 About Us:

We’re a proud rural SaaS (Software as a Service) business located in Waipukurau and provide NZ sheep and beef farmers with a digital solution for their day-to-day on farm recording and planning. Our passion for farming and delivering a solution to reduce administration headaches for farmers drives us to be bigger and better. We pride ourselves on knowing what makes farmers tick and what they need, which is why our vision is unapologetically simple: to enable every sheep, beef and deer farmer in New Zealand to spend more time on the land and less in their office.

 The Opportunity:

The opportunity is actually really exciting (if we may say so ourselves).  The farming landscape is changing rapidly – new regulations are requiring farmers to collect more information to be compliant and at the same time farmers are realising the power of the information that they collect on farm, which in turn is driving a significant change in attitude towards technology on farm.  Cloud Farmer is in the perfect position to be a market leader when it comes to agri data collection and we want you to help us get there, because at the end of the day, the old pocket notebook just isn’t going to cut it.

We’re looking for people who thrive on sales and new business development to join our team.  You’ll love the kick you get from being central to the growth of our business and the thought of yarning to farmers and networking with industry leaders really fills your bucket.

This role is based from our Waipukurau office with the simplicity of our software allowing us to support clients across NZ.  There will however be some travel needed for such things as attending trade shows, conferences, developing strategic partnerships etc

 About You:

To be successful in this role, you will be a highly motivated individual with a determination to achieve results. Your role will consist of both inbound and outbound sales and you will be responsible for growing our portfolio of clients across New Zealand.

You’ll have the experience and expertise to convert leads into sales, drive new business, and work with management to create strategic partnerships.  You will also have solid problem solving and interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt your style to suit the client. Your passion for the Sheep & Beef industry means you know what makes farmers tick (hint, it’s not salespeople in shiny shoes) and gives you an insight into how the rapid changes in compliance & regulation may affect farmers and how Cloud Farmer can reduce some of the hassle and pain.

 Our ideal candidate will be:

  • Passionate about the red meat farming industry with a good understanding of the challenges farmers face, what drives them and what they need to succeed.
  •  Known for their ability to meet KPIs, work towards milestones and achieve growth targets.
  •  Waipukurau based as the nature of our business allows us to support farming clients right across the country from CHB, however some travel will be included.
  • A team player who adds real value to our company and shares our vision of helping every sheep, beef and deer farmer in New Zealand spend more time on the land than in their office.

If you believe you have the experience and expertise to grow our business via your great sales skills then we would love to hear from you.  We’re aware that the pool of fantastic agri sales people in Waipukurau isn’t is big as we’d prefer to be, so have intentionally left the job description broad at this stage, as we’d rather tailor it to your skills and experience.

To apply please send a copy of your CV and a cover letter outlining why you think you’d be great for this role to careers@cloudfarmer.app
